The NCAA basketball player Kwamain Mitchell injured his back last Friday and many St. Louis Billikens fans have been extremely worried about what this will mean for their season. Kwamain Mitchell is the top player at SLU so a prolonged injury could do a lot of damage to their chances this year. Mitchell was taken to a hospital in Ottawa after hurting himself in the game against Carleton University.
They have finally issued a statement about Mitchell’s injury. According to the release Mitchell’s back injury is not serious. They didn’t find any bone or muscle damage. Mitchell averaged 15.9 points per game for the St. Louis Billikens during his sophomore year. This is great news for this team. They are part of the Atlantic 10 conference and had a terrible season last year.
Mitchell can be a real game changer for the Billikens this year. St Louis finished at the bottom of their conference last season but I’m predicting a much better season this time around. I certainly wouldn’t bet too much on the Billikens but I will definitely make a few strategic wagers.
