Premier Month of College Basketball
We would not be off the mark if we claimed that the most awaited time of the college basketball season is almost upon us. March Madness is the time when legends are created and hearts are won (and often broken). We bet this season too, will be no different.
As the college basketball tournaments followed by the NCAA Tournament approach, our staff eagerly scans the college hoops for players that are likely to shine this March Madness and more importantly, look for dark horses in the underdog basketball teams. These ‘dark horses’ in the past, have displayed the capacity for gigantic upsets and in the process, make a ton of money especially for those betting on the basketball underdogs this March Madness.
Our staff will also be putting under the scanner, player performances, history, current form and even current health. In this March Madness, there will without doubt, be fancied players who will quickly wilt under the bright lights and wish they could melt into the ground.
Much is yet to be researched and written but here is our preliminary assessment for this March madness. An assessment that you should take into account before betting this March:
The best forward this season: Thomas Robinson, Kansas
Thomas Robinson is considered the leading candidate for the National Player of the Year award. He has an amazing average of 17.8 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.
Considered extremely aggressive, Thomas Robinson has been performing very well especially from his sophomore year in nearly every major category he has played. He is a very consistent performer and missed double figures only once.
Our verdict: Thomas Robinson is the player you can count on when betting on basketball this March Madness.
Andre Drummond, UConn
Andre Drummond is very agile and physically better than most of the players in this year’s tournament. However, our team feels he is a not as aggressive as he should be or is it deliberate? Drummond has been averaging 10 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this season but then we do not know what the real game plan is. Has he been deliberately non-aggressive? He may surprise us with double-double scores in the postseason.
Of course, UConn lost four in a row this January and are below par in February. They need to perform better to ensure their spot in the big games and our observers feel Andre Drummond is their dark horse. He will slowly improve his game and get it to where it needs to be. We feel Andre Drummond will show us why he should be the top contender for the NBA draft.
Darius Miller, Kentucky
His versatility and leadership has made Darius Miller is a major contributor for the Wildcats and as the games progress we feel Darius Miller will be their greatest tool in the big dance in March.
Darius Miller is always surrounded by the Wildcats’ awesome freshmen: Marquis Teague, Anthony Davis, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Miller is the wall that provides a steadiness on the floor and uses his wide body to good effect. What’s more, he has a decent handle and can shoot the three as was seen in the match against Mississippi State squad when Darius Miller helped put the Wildcats back on track.
In fact, this season Miller’s been shooting 39 percent from the arc and when you factor his height (6’7″) that’s an amazing asset to have for a team. Darius Miller has more than proved himself especially in the win against the Bulldogs. Frankly, it was Darius Miller that made that win possible.
Our staff will continue watching and observing not only fancied players but also possible dark horses who have the potential bring you windfall gains by betting on the underdogs. Stay tuned.
