The players who are down and (almost) out in this year’s NBA

If you are in the big league, you will be under the scanner. Like it or not, each game and every performance is talked about and critics wont relent until and unless they have analyzed every detail and scrutinized each flaw. But that’s the consequences of being at the top, playing against huge crowds and appearing on television. And the scenario is the same in NBA, where every turn, foul and missed chance is magnified and examined. And in this article, however hypocritical with the introduction, will be doing the same, magnifying and examining. Here we present to you the list of players who desperately need their fate to look upon them and change their present misfortunes.

First up on our list is Devin Harris. With his present form hitting rock bottom the Utah Jazz player not only finds himself on the bench but on the team’s chopping block. He has been performing inconsistently throughout and needs to reflect and analyze to put things in perspective. Next up to join Harris is Carmelo Anthony. His performance could be taken lightly while he was in Denver, but with the New York team, with higher stakes and even higher expectations, it cannot be overlooked. The player has suffered injuries lately and that might be a cause for all his troubles. He came under real fire when he missed out of the Miami Heat match. Coming in at number three on our list of player that really need to go back to the basics to shape up is Dwyane Wade. The star stopped performing well after the LeBron James exit and hasn’t come up with the goods playing alongside Chris Bosh. The player has been quite injury prone lately and hasn’t been delivering for his side for quite some time now.

Next on our list, following up the top four is Lamar Odom.  The Dallas Mavericks had invested high expectations in the star but the player is yet to live up to them. The inconsistency has led to speculation, and questioning on whether he was the right man to replace Caron Butler. Michael Beasley is another such who has been down and out for a long time. He has been under fire for slowing down the team’s offence and not being able to perform decently on a regular basis. Jameer Nelson makes our list too. He has been having some sort of hostility and rumored troubles with Howard. He has been putting up a poor show with the Orlando Magic and that has got the critics’ tongues wagging. Next is Amar’e Stoudemire. This dying star is now linked with all sorts of rumors ranging from the Howard Trade rumors to the 76ers rumor mill. The player always used to hog the limelight and has saved his team from some difficult corners is now a dwindling remnant of what once was. He is soon to take the exit if he doesn’t get back to his old gaming ways. And we finally round up our list with Kevin Martin. This player deserves this bit of attention since his defending has been ridiculous to say the least. Though he does make up for it with scoring which is still the highest for the Rockets.
