Miami Heat: The New NBA Champions

LeBron James shines on Miami’s way to victory

The NBA has been won by the Miami Heat when it defeated Oklahoma City Thunder with a 121-106 win thus winning the finals series 4-1. LeBron James, the forward of Miami Heat, shoots against Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins during the game 5. LeBron has done well in this championship with a score of 26 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds. The other two, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade added 23 and 20 points respectively. The “Big Three” of Miami Heat had finally done what was expected out of them since the day they were brought in to the Miami Heat two years ago.

Many regarded James as the best player in the game, but he could finally make his entry in the best team with his wonderful performance. James was overwhelmed in expressing his feelings after the team won. According to him, it meant everything to him as it was a difficult decision for him to leave Cleveland. James said that his future is in Miami and it is like a dream come true for him, and it is very true when one achieves it finally. James got his reward for leaving Cleveland and joining Miami.

James along with Bosh and Wade left the game when the time remaining was 3:01 and there were rounds of hugs, embraces and the celebration already. This celebration was surely a great event for James which  he has been waiting for so long since he joined NBA after his high school in 2003 as the best  pick. James was seen in a long hug with the opponent Kevin Durant and he just hopped up and down as he watched the confetti raining down on them from the rafters.

The second quarter of the game was taken control of by the Miami Heat but it lost it briefly during the end that quarter. The control on the game was again back to Miami in the third quarter when one of the main players, James, passed 3-point shooters and Thunder had to give the entire attention to him.

Mike Miller of Miami Heat also worked as a catalyst as he scored 23 points. Miami Heat just managed to overcome the disappointment it had last year when losing to Dallas in six games. James was one of those players who got strictly scrutinized in the league since his arrival in Miami Heat. While leaving Cleveland, he announced that he is taking his talents to South Beach in a TV show “The Decision”. His statement was criticized by everyone and it eventually went up to the commissioner’s office. In the Miami team, James never had to do the work alone though when he made his sensational run, he reminded everyone that if needed he could manage the game alone. Whenever he needed support he got it fully. He got support from Shane Battier’s 17 points in game 2 and Mario Chalmers’ 25 in game 4. James had promised to bring multiple titles for Miami and Miami Heat have already three around it.
